Carson

What a completely strange kid?? I don't really know what the point of this was but if I tried to take the bucket off his head he flipped out??!! I guess it must have been something he inherited from his dad.

Finally somewhat back to normal

Oh my heck it feels good to finally feel like I am not going to die. For those who don't know I have had influenza B. (I have no idea what the difference is from A all I know is most people had A.)
Anyway I am finally done with my medication and feel so much better. My voice is not all the way back but I have enough of a voice to yell at the kids now. Hey, I am thankful for everyday things!! For those who brought us dinner or movies or helped fix our computer we are so grateful. Oh, and for the trips to the store to get important things like Nyquil. We are so lucky to have friends and family like we have. You all are wonderful and like mom mentioned to me I should send out memo's when I feel well!!! Hopefully that memo will be coming soon. Thanks again for everyones help.

THANK YOU!!

A huge thank you to all who came to our house for cake and icecream. With such late notice we really appriciate all our family and friends and their support. It made Jenica's day. I can't believe that she is 4 already. It seems like just yesterday we were working so hard to get her to sit up and walk when she was turning 1. Let alone talk! Now, we wait for those rare moments when she doesn't have anything to say. Believe me, that does actually happen. Every night about 8 o'clock when she is fast asleep, recharging her batteries!!

Jenica's Birthday

Jenica's birthday this year fell on a day she got to go to school! We were so happy because she LOVES her class and she wanted to share her birthday with everyone. It was a crazy day making a bunch of cupcakes along with her birthday cake but it was worth it when I walked in the door of her classroom and became 20 four year olds favorite person. Here she is with her "best friend" and teacher Miss Angie.

The ride back to Utah

Sometimes the ride can be the adventure in itself. This was pretty much what the whole ride back to Utah looked like. At times it was a little scary, at times a little annoying, (that would be the whole "ticket" incident) and at other times, I was just plain mad. I offered to drive since Phil had driven the whole way there. We had a number of causulties.... in the way of the dumb little birdies that thought it was a better idea to eat the salt off the road than to worry about the big green car coming at them. And it never helps when you have a calvary in the back asking me why they keep flying into the windshield. (Wish I had an answer for that one??)

But, as in most things in life, there was happiness and fun along the way. Happiness for the two that were FINALLY quiet. And the fun always comes when we spend time as a family.

Through all the things we have been through the last week or so with Phil losing his job, poor little Jenica and her forever skin problems, and my happy news about oh, give it six months or you can go ahead and call the surgeon now since it has been longer than six months, the sun will always shine again in the morning and there will always be laughs in the days to come. What more could we ask for???

Superbowl Weekend

During the Superbowl weekend we made a mad dash to Colorado to celebrate Grandpa Mike's birthday. The kids had fun playing with and getting to know their cousins.

Mike's daughter Cassie was there with her husband Russ and their three kids. They also had the missionaries and Mikes brother and his family. It was also fun to have Kami back in the country (ha ha do you like that Kami??) We had such a fun time but it was quick and we did get quite a storm!!!
