How to loose your mind in 5 min or less..

I have come up with the perfect way to loose your mind. Do the same thing, day after day for 6 years, and then instantly.... stop. Cold turkey.

My kids are my life. Everyday we do the same things, with small variations mind you. But basically we follow the same routine. Today Grandma and Grandpa Colorado have done the sweetest thing. They have taken the kids so I could recover in peace. I don't go in for surgery until Wednesday so I have a day and a half to myself. I do have plans to take the car in to get fixed and I can't imagine what it will be like to clean and have it actually STAY that way, but that in no way replaces the mess that I would, and do, clean up everyday for my kids! I miss them already but know that they are going to have much more fun hanging with Grandma than they would with me. Jenica said, "I know why we are going with Grandma." I said, "Why are you?" Her reply was, I can't be quiet long enough to sit in the hospital with you." She hit the nail on the head. I love her but she sure can talk!! I will be signing off the blog for a few days but thought I would say a quick Thanks to everyone! Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Colorado your help is invaluable and to mom for making sure I am taken care of and for Angie for making sure we don't starve. I sure love not only my kids but ALL of my family, I don't know how I got so lucky!! LOVE YOU EVERYONE!!

WHAT A BAD DAY!

The nice thing is the car is so shiny that you can't see it in a picture. But this morning as I was coming home from work a lady did a U-turn into me. OOPS!! She did a number on it, but this does not do it justice. The nice thing is, it will be just like getting one-half a new car!! The other plus is that next week since I am having surgery I won't be driving anyway, so there are good things I guess. Oh well eh?

Just as Becca predicted

We saw Becca at the carnival last night and she knew EXACTLY where these pictures were headed. There was a big group of us so there is lots of pictures. There was Ryan, Jayme, Phil, Holli, me, Hunter, Jenica, Hannah, Carter, Little Ryan, Carson and of course Baby Noah. (Ryan and Jayme's new baby)

Here is little Ryan finally making it down the slide. He had to have a little help but I bet if he did it again he would be able to run right on up!
Hunter and Ryan driving...scarry.
Jenica and Carson taking their turn driving.
And this handsome man is little Noah. Isn't he sweet??
Poor Carter was not expecting this ride to start when it did. Suprise!

It is so hard to wait in line and be patient. WHO invented lines anyway??
This is 5 of the kids on the roller coaster, I couldn't get a good picture because of the sun, it was too bad they sure had a blast.
Carsons version of the roller coaster...the carosel.
Here the others are coming down the slide. Look at those smiles. That is the whole reason we went to see those smiles! The slide is Hunters favorite ride at the carnival. It always has been but I don't know how many more years that would last??

All I want for Summer!

Is a new front tooth!!

Here is the money he got from the "tooth fairy". Although, I don't understand the "tradition" of putting the tooth in the cup it didn't seem to bother him. I am wondering if ANYONE else has ever heard of putting the tooth in a cup of water and leaving it on the counter? I sure haven't and Phil was appalled when I told him that was weird.

As promised here is the picture of our toothless boy. He is very impatient for the rest to fall out--or get pulled out. He now thinks Dad can just pull out any teeth he wants.

Fathers Day

I just wanted to tell Phil Happy Fathers Day. You are a wonderful Dad and Husband and I am sorry I ended up working all of Fathers Day, but it gives you time to spend with the kids. Thanks for working so hard to provide for the family and then coming home and providing the love and fun that they look forward to. Thank you for taking over when I get overwhelmed. But mostly thank you for the example you are to me. You have had to take on a lot this last year since I have been sick but you don't ever complain and you have a way of making me feel less guilty! I love you.

Also, I don't have batteries for my camera but I will post pictures soon. Hunter lost his first tooth! I didn't know that something like that could be just as exciting for Phil and I as it was for him. And what a big kid! He allowed Phil to pull it out for him while he patiently sat there. Congratulations HUNTER!!!

Grandma Colorado

I apologize about not getting this up yesterday I was sick and didn't get off the couch. But we sure do love you and hope you had an awesome birthday.

Can a person truly apologize for Hunter and his new found love of burping? I don't know but I don't think so. Here is my feeble attempt: He takes after his Dad. Did it work??

***side note*** I just read Micaylas Blog. Hers is better. She wins. I wish I could add my favorite memory about you. It would probably have something to do with a contact!! Oh you know you love me and what could you possibly do without me??

Its official

I love the freedom that summer brings. I love that we are finally over strep throat and sinus infections. I love the BBQs up the canyon with friends. I love that Carson would rather hang out in a diaper than anything else (and above all I am glad he hasn't found the "freedom" of no diaper) I love the kids begging at 7 o'clock in the morning to go out and play. I love late nights that we can ignore bedtimes for the fun of a game, or playing outside. I love eating dinners out back and I love the talks about how much longer till school is back in. (A daily conversation at our house) It took me a good week to get into the spirit of summer, I think that the infections may have played a part in it. But, Stac, I want you to know I am now OFFICIALLY enjoying the summer!

Keeping Carson Happy

You know, I sure can't blame Carson for not liking his breathing treatments but add lack of sleep on top of that and he was not a happy camper. So, what do I do to keep him happy? Take his picture. I think he may have inherited the love of pictures from you, Angie. And, to top it off, I thought I would put it on the blog because he loves to see himself! (Must be another Angie trait??)

We made it through ONE day of summer

Okay, so Monday was officially the first day of summer break for the kids. It was a LONG day for all of us. All of us are a little sick and tired. We decided we would start the summer with a bang. Sinus infections all around! Just like the Garretts like to do it! At 8:00 am Tuesday morning Jenica sits next to me and says... "How much more of Summer till we go back to school?" I told her it was a while and we probably will talk about it when it gets closer. Her reply? "Is it time to talk about it now? I want to go to school today." WOW we have a long summer ahead of us. I better start praying extra hard for strength!
