Well, I must admit I was quite sad that Mom, Angie and Swains were out of town and couldn't come to dinner with us on my Birthday. I was sure glad though I could talk some people into coming!!
Holli LOVES the camera. She could be a Toone!!
I just took a few pics so, as Jenica says... "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit."
Thanks Paul and Jenn for bringing your girls and coming. And Dad, I am so glad you came it wouldn't have been the same without you! We missed the rest of you but I was grateful for those that could come. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedules. (I need to do everything I can to prove to Jenn that I am NOT scarry and I LOVE her. I consider her my sister that was lost until she was 18ish.)

Seriously, why did I NEVER think of this??
Jenica's teacher Miss Brenda stopped me and said she had a story she needed to tell me. My first thought is oh no, what has done now? Miss Brenda says that they were talking about Rapunzel. Jenica asked after the story was over, "If he climbs up her hair, how do they both get down?"
Good question you ask? I think so. I have never thought of this, leave it to Jenica to wonders something like that....

Wal-Mart fun
This is all the kids at the opening of the new Wal-Mart in Cedar Hills. I am amazed that they would sit still long enough to have this done!!

The World Through Jenica's Eyes (with a little help)
Jenica got a new camera for her birthday and this is some of the pictures she has taken.
When I try to put my picture on the bottom of the page how does it always end up being on the top?? Oh well, I am looking adorable....
Always have to have a picture of Buddy.
Here is Grandma Colorado-- lookin skinny!!
I don't really know that I need to say anything here....the picture says it all!!
Hunter must get his moves from Dad!!!
Carson-- we are all confused by her at one time or another.
My thoughts exactly.
A big thanks for all those who helped celebrate Jenica's birthday...we missed you Angie. It was fun to see everyone and to see some hidden talents (aka skating) Thank you and we love you all!!

Crazy But Lovable Holli

We all know I love Holli but I am afraid she has lost her mind. She took ALL the kids to Chucky Cheese then to McDonalds for icecream. (With some help with Jason before he had to go to work) She sure knows how to make those kids happy, which is probably why Jenica says she wants to live with Holli. Heck I don't blame her. Can I move in too, Holli??

Happy Birthday!!
My sweet and funny little Jenica Lilly is 5 today. As we talked about her arrival into this world we thought of all the things she has overcome. It's not everyday that doctors give you devastating news without being POSITIVE first I don't know what we would have done if she really had CF. She was born on Friday the 13th. What a wonderful Valentines present for us. I had such high hopes for her coming straight home from the hospital with us but... no such luck. After spending weeks in the NICU she came home. Two days after she went right back in the hospital with RSV. I now believe she knew then how to give us a run for our money. Then all the therapy she went through and one of Little Grandpa's all time favorite stories of her. Her Physical Therapist saying she may need behavioral counseling at 14 months old. HA HA! Anyway, she has turned into a beautiful, vibrant, loving kiddo who I wouldn't change for all the money in the world. I love you Jenica!!

Wish I had something to say
I have been thinking about my blog lately and haven't really had anything to put on here. Although life has been really crazy with some really great highs and lower lows. Life is good. We are all basically healthy and happy. Phil is working hard in school and we see each other pretty much only on Sundays. Sundays are now even more my favorite day of the week. Jenica will be turning 5 this week and I wish I could just pause her right at this age for a while (partially because she is so fun, partially cause I think she will be a scarry teen-ager) School is going along well for everyone and Carson can't wait to start next year. My scouting calling is harder than I imagined possible. I don't do well just sitting back when I think people are making big mistakes that will cost these boys the chance to get their scouting done. I am ready for spring and the chances at a new beginning that brings. I hope everyone is doing well and happy.

Merry Christmas!!
I love the snow. Is there anything better than a white Christmas? I love snow as much as Carson loves running around in his diaper (which is A LOT if you don't know)

Jenica and the after life
This is word for word a conversation I had with Jenica-- anyone have any answers please feel free to educate both me and Jenica.
J- "Mom, when will little grandpa come back?" (For those who don't know "little grandpa" is my mom's father)
M- "I don't know for sure, Jenica. During the second comming."
J- "Is little grandpa wearing his pajamas still?"
M- "No, he isn't. He isn't sick anymore so he doesn't have to wear them."
J- "Then what is he wearing?"
M- "I believe he is wearing white clothes."
J- "Where did he get his white clothes?"
M- "I am not sure--from Heavenly Father I guess."
J- "You know that store by the temple where you get your white clothes? That is where I think he got his white clothes."
Phils response--"I am sure glad I wasn't in the car and had to answer those questions."

How long does brainwashing last?
Phil, me and Carson went to the hospital to see Evan and Delynn's baby Brynlyn (sp?) She is so very sweet and yes I did give her up for a little less than 2 min so Phil could hold her too.
When Hunter came home from school we told him about going to see the baby and how cute she is with her dark hair. Then he asked when she was coming home. I said "Probably Friday." End of conversation I thought. Then Jenica asked me how they cut the baby out of her tummy so I told her. Hunter then says, "Well, that means she had surgery." "Yes, Hunter she did so she has to be very gentle until she gets better." Everyone got quiet and I thought that was the end of that until Hunter speaks up. "Mom, if Jayden can walk, then Evan can hold the baby, right? So Delynn won't have to." I told him I thought that would be a good idea. He replied, "Well, who is going to carry the oxygen tank then? I could carry it for them."

Halloween Fright!

This was the Pleasant Grove Firehouse Halloween Party. Phil is Hannah Montana (don't take it personal Hannah) And I am Robby Ray aka Billy Ray Cyrus. We had a ton of fun, every party is fun with Phil. He especially loved his balloons...well, him and every other fireman in the department!

New Job!!
So, I think most of you know by now but I thought I would actually write it down. I have quit working with Applegate and am going to do private care. I am really excited about this. I am working with a sweet lady named Eva who lives in Lehi. I will work less hours, make more money and have a set schedule. What more could a person ask for??

NOW THIS IS THE MAN OF MY DREAMS!!!

Wouldn't Phil have made a handsome high schooler in 1980? Oh I think so!!
Well maybe the 70's?
What a couple we could have been!!
The sad thing is--I think I have actually seen a picture that looks somewhat similar to this. Phil you are handsome anyway or any year!!

Socks and Sharks
For FHE tonight we played Shark Shooter. I play with a bunch of cheaters....mainly Carson.
I would say Hunter won.
Tomorrow is Crazy Sock Day at Hunters school. They don't make crazy socks for six year olds so we made our own.
It was very messy but very fun they did a great job.
Family Home Evening Fun!!

Angie-Mother-May-I??
On Saturday Angie and I went to Paradise Bakery and then came back to the house and she played a quick game, very messed up game if you ask me, of "Mother May I?" But the kids enjoyed it and I enjoyed watching.
Then we watched Sydney White. A very good movie. Thanks Ang for the fun!!
***On a sad, not really, note.....Hunter and Chloe (his girl of the week) have broken up. He's upset he has to find ANOTHER girlfriend.

Some Random Pictures
Carson has no idea how to ACTUALLY sit on an airplane. But oh well, it kept him happy!
The reason that I pretty much just have pictures of Carson is he was the only one that still cared we were around. Hunter and Jenica would rather hang out with Grandma and Poppy!!
For Halloween they put the candy corn in place of the "A"'s in California.
Carson doesn't really get what all the excitment is about. He figures it out the minute he sees Goofy.
And the winner of the random pictures is this one. Carson was feeding his belly button. Whatever, he seemed to think it made sense.
