Crazy But Lovable Holli

We all know I love Holli but I am afraid she has lost her mind. She took ALL the kids to Chucky Cheese then to McDonalds for icecream. (With some help with Jason before he had to go to work) She sure knows how to make those kids happy, which is probably why Jenica says she wants to live with Holli. Heck I don't blame her. Can I move in too, Holli??

Happy Birthday!!

My sweet and funny little Jenica Lilly is 5 today. As we talked about her arrival into this world we thought of all the things she has overcome. It's not everyday that doctors give you devastating news without being POSITIVE first I don't know what we would have done if she really had CF. She was born on Friday the 13th. What a wonderful Valentines present for us. I had such high hopes for her coming straight home from the hospital with us but... no such luck. After spending weeks in the NICU she came home. Two days after she went right back in the hospital with RSV. I now believe she knew then how to give us a run for our money. Then all the therapy she went through and one of Little Grandpa's all time favorite stories of her. Her Physical Therapist saying she may need behavioral counseling at 14 months old. HA HA! Anyway, she has turned into a beautiful, vibrant, loving kiddo who I wouldn't change for all the money in the world. I love you Jenica!!

Wish I had something to say

I have been thinking about my blog lately and haven't really had anything to put on here. Although life has been really crazy with some really great highs and lower lows. Life is good. We are all basically healthy and happy. Phil is working hard in school and we see each other pretty much only on Sundays. Sundays are now even more my favorite day of the week. Jenica will be turning 5 this week and I wish I could just pause her right at this age for a while (partially because she is so fun, partially cause I think she will be a scarry teen-ager) School is going along well for everyone and Carson can't wait to start next year. My scouting calling is harder than I imagined possible. I don't do well just sitting back when I think people are making big mistakes that will cost these boys the chance to get their scouting done. I am ready for spring and the chances at a new beginning that brings. I hope everyone is doing well and happy.

Merry Christmas!!

I love the snow. Is there anything better than a white Christmas? I love snow as much as Carson loves running around in his diaper (which is A LOT if you don't know)

Jenica and the after life

This is word for word a conversation I had with Jenica-- anyone have any answers please feel free to educate both me and Jenica.

J- "Mom, when will little grandpa come back?" (For those who don't know "little grandpa" is my mom's father)
M- "I don't know for sure, Jenica. During the second comming."
J- "Is little grandpa wearing his pajamas still?"
M- "No, he isn't. He isn't sick anymore so he doesn't have to wear them."
J- "Then what is he wearing?"
M- "I believe he is wearing white clothes."
J- "Where did he get his white clothes?"
M- "I am not sure--from Heavenly Father I guess."
J- "You know that store by the temple where you get your white clothes? That is where I think he got his white clothes."

Phils response--"I am sure glad I wasn't in the car and had to answer those questions."

How long does brainwashing last?

Phil, me and Carson went to the hospital to see Evan and Delynn's baby Brynlyn (sp?) She is so very sweet and yes I did give her up for a little less than 2 min so Phil could hold her too.
When Hunter came home from school we told him about going to see the baby and how cute she is with her dark hair. Then he asked when she was coming home. I said "Probably Friday." End of conversation I thought. Then Jenica asked me how they cut the baby out of her tummy so I told her. Hunter then says, "Well, that means she had surgery." "Yes, Hunter she did so she has to be very gentle until she gets better." Everyone got quiet and I thought that was the end of that until Hunter speaks up. "Mom, if Jayden can walk, then Evan can hold the baby, right? So Delynn won't have to." I told him I thought that would be a good idea. He replied, "Well, who is going to carry the oxygen tank then? I could carry it for them."
